“Goffstown Hardware” is proud to be an independent Benjamin Moore paint seller, Goffstown NH communities.
Goffstown Hardware began caring for the needs of the community back in 1944. Former owner Herb Johnstone had purchased the hardware store, then called F. W. Hardware, from Woody Lane. The facility was then located in a small building that now houses an eatery on Main Street in downtown Goffstown. Bob Brown purchased the hardware store in the early 1960’s and groomed his son Larry to take over the business. Larry Brown and wife Sandy currently own Goffstown Hardware, and their daughter Karen Henderson has been the General Manager since 2000. The fourth generation of the family is being trained in the business. Karen’s son Finn Henderson, soon to be three, continues the tradition of helping his mom and grandparents every chance he gets.
The G-gauge model train with its intricate handmade wooden bridges and trestles has moved into the new store. In the former Goffstown location, the train was a much sought after item as it moved high above customer’s heads in the paint department. The train will chug along on a much longer track in the new store.
“We are committed to always helping our customers find what they are looking for,” said Henderson. “And we will continue to offer hard-to-find products, small niche products that are not available everywhere, and will do everything we can to find what our customers need,” concluded Henderson.
